Actors on Actors.

For years, I've been annoyed with Variety's "Actors on Actors" and the various roundtable conversations they do because -- especially with women -- they have pushed the conversation towards discussing victimhood and identity bullshit at the expense of a discussion of craft between masters.

Sometimes I think this happens because they bring on people who are really not that talented, and so it's more "interesting" to stoke some controversial sound bites than get them to talk about the work.

I'm so thrilled to say that this isn't that. For the first time in a long time, you get to watch two women talking about acting as actors instead of talking about being women in a "man's world".

As a result, you get all sorts of insights into their thought process, their experiences, and their craftsmanship that really reinforces why Cate Blanchett and Michelle Yeoh are both absolutely brilliant in everything.
