RE: My Actifit Report: October 22 2019

in #actifit5 years ago (edited)

I read most of the @actifit reports I upvote @onealfa. Your right you know... making spam or making a meaningful post that is the decision isn’t it!? It’s especially difficult after a whole day of activity! But it’s really about respecting the community as a whole and more specifically respecting the people who follow us.

Recently I have been reorganizing my posting strategy. It’s meant posting my @actifit reports less often (for the time being) but in the long run... I believe taking the time to develop a plan for quality content on my @actifit reports is going to be the best move.

Good luck as you figure this one out as well! 🙂

I do believe this is one of the important issues we face with the @actifit project...

Sort:

Day after day I walk exactly the same route, and there is nothing new I can report on my activities in these reports.
And sometimes, when I spend more time for creating longer report - it is quite discouraging to see that such report yet don't get into top20, gets 90% votes from automatic autovoters, and maybe 1-2 (but many many times just NONE) comments at all.So demotivating...

Yeah... I hear you loud and clear @onealfa. Your comment has got me thinking long and hard about what we can do to spark new life into the @actifit reports. Because most people are writing their reports in the same way their is a general trend to less and less interest and support from the community (as a whole) but also I have noticed that less and less @actifit users are reading and supporting other @actifit users posts.

Possibly this could be the byproduct of what you mentioned... a lack of verity in the typical posts that people are putting together. It’s easy to talk about myself and what I did today... every single day but after awhile that’s not going to be interesting enough for people to want to actually read and engage with the post... especially if everybody’s posts are exactly (or close) to being the same.

The only people likely to do this are your true fans and supporters. People who care deep down about your success.

In addition to these observations I have been wondering if this lag in interest is due to the impulse to post activity daily. If there was a way to post your activity once per. Week in a graphically pleasing format... maybe that would be more interesting because it would act as a health dashboard for the week (and be less spammy/commodifying). I believe that when it comes to influence, change, and people fast is slow and slow is fast... so perhaps things would improve if we slowed down the @actifit feed and focused on quality over quantity....

I would love to hear your opinions... I am fully committed to the @actifit projects success on the Steem Blockchain and I also have quite a lot of skin in the game just like you do @onealfa. What do you think needs to happen next for us to gain reputation and traction within the Steem community and how can we increase this result naturally and systemically so that it’s an easy adjustment?
