A cat would have to be pretty bold to sneak into the yard and climb up the pole with the dog around.
What about the dog? He doesn't attack the birds? My dog was crazy for birds, he was a real hunter, and it was even worse with bees, he actually tried to eat bees... ended up with his mouth full of bee stings, I thought that he would learn after the first sting but oh boy was I wrong, he was the best exterminator around! My dog almost exterminated bees to near extinction xD
So far as I know Dog-oh has left the birds alone. He's a rat terrier and he has got a few rats over the years. He's kind of old and slow and missing some teeth at this point.
Then he only needs to find an even older and slower rat with fragile bones :D (this sounded so psychopath xD My shrink agrees ahahah)
