Hello everyone ๐,
Happy Monday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report ๐. Hopefully your week is off to a great start โบ๏ธ. My day has been wonderful and as always I am glad you stopped by yet again ๐. Let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and also some of the trending news. Here we go again ๐จ.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. I did enjoy that fresh morning breeze๐. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going ๐น. Otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, all eyes on the middle east with the ongoing war in Gaza. It's been 17 days of relentless bombardment๐ฟ, the death toll now touching five thousand๐ญ.
Today, Hamas armed wing released two elderly captives as a result of Egyptian and Qatari mediation. The two women were released on humanitarian reasons๐.
Local media is also reporting the potential release of 50 other dual national captives held by Hamas.
The Dutch PM stopped by in Israel, he called for humanitarian pauses in bombings to help aid reach Palestinians in the Gaza strip. In a statement, Rutte said Israel's actions must be in line with humanitarian law and rules of war ๐ฏ.
Lets go to another war zone in Ukraine๐ก. Russian troops have intensified pressure on Ukrainian cities of Avdiivka and Kherson in the east. Ukraine says it's forces repelled nearly 20 attacks around Avdiivka on Sunday๐.
Then political shenanigans ๐น in Iceland as thousands of women including the PM will refuse to work tomorrow. The women's day off, has been called in protest at the gender pay gap and gender based violence๐. The planned walk out will mark the first full day women's strike since 1975.
Finally across the pond, Argentina trending as pro bitcoin presidential candidate Javier Milei forced November run off election๐น. He won 30% of the national vote๐, congratulations to him๐. The guy is a total radical, hates taxation and central banks. Besides bitcoin, if he wins Argentina will see head spinning changes๐คช. Let's wait for that November ๐น.
