Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Another wonderful day is fading away and as bed 💤 time approaches it's time to wrap things up and get ready for Thursday. Thank you for reading and let's get going 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. A short walk then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. It was drizzling when I came back indoors, now I hear full on rain. So in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going. Today was world press freedom day. Also trending locally, Japanese PM is in Kenya on a state visit, had press conference with the president.
Meanwhile in Sudan things remain the same. A ceasefire is in place but sporadic gunfire still being heard in Khartoum 🙀.
Trending globally, Russia says it prevented an assassination attempt aimed at Putin. They showed footage of a drone being intercepted above the Kremlin building🙀. They have blamed Ukraine but Ukraine have strongly denied those claims terming it a false flag attack orchestrated by Russia itself😹.
Then a shocking case in Serbia, where a 13 year old stole his father's gun and shot 8 people at his school😭. Motive still not known but the boy and his parents have been arrested.
Across the pond in the US, the central bank or Federal reserve have raised interest rates to the highest level in 16 years🙀. They have raised by 0.25% to make it 5.25% in a bid to curb inflation.
There's still that talk of looming bank collapses, this week first Republic was bailed out by JP Morgan. Two other banks stocks have fallen remarkably🙀. I don't think we have seen the last of this.
I believe it will happen worldwide as a recession sets in, we definitely need bitcoin and cryptos more than ever 💯.
Let's finish in Brazil where police raided the residence of former president Jair Bolsonaro. Apparently he didn't get vaccinated but fraudulently acquired a covid vaccine certificate to facilitate travel to the US 😹. It's all alleged so let's wait and see how the case goes.
