Happy hump day ๐๐ and a very warm welcome to my world ๐. Its yet another 24 hours to be grateful for. As the day draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share what's trending in the media streets. Thank you for reading and let's take it away๐จ.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a cloudy morning as I made my way. I enjoyed the walk and then I was back indoors. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the shopping centre for groceries. Still a cloudy day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube .Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going๐น, parliament busy voting on the finance bill that was recently passed in last week's national budget.
Globally, Israel trending, violence in the occupied west bank has escalated๐. Today an Israeli air strike hit a car in Jenin. Meanwhile, after yesterday's killing of 4 Israelis, Israeli settlers attacked and burned cars and houses of Palestinians. Let's hope the situation calms down and doesn't get worse.
Let's go to Europe, where a 2 day rebuilding Ukraine conference kicked off in London. Many countries pledging amounts to help Ukraine rebuild, president Zelensky joined the meeting electronically.
France trending as a gas explosion in Paris damaged some building with injuries reported๐.
Down in China, the foreign ministry has been enraged by Biden calling Chinese president Xi Jing a dictator๐น. They say it violates their political dignity. This after US secretary of state was just there meeting Chinese president and officials๐.
Speaking of Biden, later Wednesday he will be meeting Indian prime minister, Modi, who is the US.
Also trending in the US, the search for the missing submersible goes on. The vessel has limited oxygen and rescuers say the search is incredibly complex and difficult๐.
Finally in crypto news, bitcoin today hit 30k, this after close to ten big banks expressed interest in btc ETFs. Definitely a quick recovery from all the FUD brought about by SEC with the binance and coinbase lawsuits. Just goes to show crypto isn't going anywhere soon, in fact, it will be massive; so keep filling your bags๐น.
