My Actifit Report Card: July 5 2023.......Wednesday Walk ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐

Happy hump day ๐๐ and a very warm welcome to my world ๐. As always glad you stopped by. Hopefully you have had or are having a great day๐ฏ. I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's take it away ๐จ.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before the evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze๐. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter. let's dive into that next
Locally, the usual political shenanigans ๐น kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Israel trending as Jenin residents returned home after a two day Israeli showdown. Damaged roads and buildings with holes in the walls was what they found๐. A lot of rebuilding has to happen. The residents, angry and defiant as they protested on their way to bury the dead. 12 Palestinians and one Israeli soldier died during the attack๐ญ. UN experts say Israeli air strikes and ground operations may constitute a war crime๐.
Meanwhile, PM Netanyahu has warned it's just the beginning๐and they will go all out on any threats to Israel. In Tel Aviv the police commander has quit over the ongoing protests against judicial reforms. Saying some of the orders he was getting from above were outrageous๐น.
Let's go to Europe, Ukraine trending as both Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of trying to bomb the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant ๐. It would definitely be catastrophic if it happened. Let's hope it won't ๐ฏ. Meanwhile, Ukraine says it's counter offensive has been successful so far given its lack of air power and limited resources.
Let's go across the pond in the US, 21 mass shootings have been reported this holiday weekend๐. 19 people dead and several injured๐ญ. From the beginning of the year 356 shootings reported. This weekend Baltimore, Chicago and Texas reported incidents. Meanwhile, republicans refuse the move to set laws banning assault weapons๐.
Finally, in crazy weather, a severe storm hit the Netherlands with trees uprooted and flights cancelled๐. Then severe storms threaten central US as Florida roasted in record heat.
Let's wait and see.
