Hello everyone ๐,
Happy Monday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my world ๐. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for, we are on to a new week and I have had a great day. It's now that time to slow down and fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye. As always thank you for reading and let's get it done ๐จ.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze๐. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news, twitter, youtube and the like. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans ๐น, kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Ukraine trending as the kerch bridge connecting Crimea to Russian mainland was bombed and destroyed. Putin has said there will be a swift response to that๐. Let's just expect extra shelling in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russia has said it will not renew the Black sea grain export deal with Ukraine. It had been brokered by Turkey and the UN. It enabled Ukraine export millions of tonnes of grains over the past few months.
UN secretary general has warned millions of people would face hunger if deal isn't renewed. The Kremlin says it will renew agreement once it's conditions on Russian produce are fulfilled.
Also trending, a four day Alzheimer's association conference is underway in Amsterdam. A promising new drug has been found to slow Alzheimer's by up to 60%๐. Am sure in the coming years we will have more inventions like this๐ฏ.
Let's go to the middle east, demonstrations were witnessed in the Jenin refugee camp against the Palestinian Authority for arresting five Palestinians๐.
Also trending, Israel has formally recognized western Sahara as part of Morocco ๐น. However there are many other countries that back the separatist movement.
Across the pond in the US, lots of classified US military emails were wrongly sent to Mali. I still don't know how that mistake happened and why Mali๐น.
Finally, let's finish off with the crazy weather. Wild fires in Greece are raging threatening some sea side villages๐. This as abnormally high temperatures continued in southern Europe and northern Africa.
