Hello everyone ๐,
Happy Sunday, and a very warm welcome to my world ๐. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day๐ฏ,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on ๐จ.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze ๐ as I made my way around the neighborhood ๐ฒ. But it was a short walk as I slept a little longer this morning ๐น. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and then the afternoon saw me go out to the mall for some groceries and window shopping.
Then I was back home for a short but refreshing nap๐ค. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some you tube videos and news. There were some interesting matches going on in the EPL.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk, a rather short one just to stretch out my legs. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, just another quiet Sunday, people relaxing enjoying the weekend before a new work week tomorrow.
Globally, another horrendous day unfolded in Gaza. Israeli airstrikes kept going in Rafa and Khan Younis. 86 people killed in last 24 hours๐ญ.The Israeli military has partially withdrawn from Nasser hospital.
Meanwhile, Israeli and Hamas delegations will continue ceasefire talks in Qatar. The aim is to reach a ceasefire before Ramadan begins. Let's hope they will be successful ๐ฏ.
In Europe, Ukraine trending as Russia attacked the city of Kostiantynivka destroying a train station and damaging a church๐. President Zelensky has said nearly 31,000 soldiers have been killed since Russia invaded two years ago๐ฟ.
Also trending, Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko has announced he will run for president for the seventh time๐น. Most of those elections are shams which he always wins๐ก.
Across the pond in the US, Donald Trump defeated Niki Haley in the south Carolina primaries. Nikki Haley had hoped to win in her home state of south Carolina but has pledged to remain in the race even though there's no chance for her to win๐น.
Down in Brazil, former president Jair Bolsonaro gathered thousands of supporters on Sao Paulo's iconic Paulista avenue to demonstrate political strength amid investigations that many believe could land him in jail๐.
Finally, Colombia is seeking to retrieve treasure from the wreckage a Spanish ship that sank in 1708. The ship is said to be 600 metres below the sea with treasures worth an estimated $20 billion๐. That's in gold, silver and precious gems. The exact location is top govt secret, though an American company is claiming half the loot saying they know it's exact location too๐น. Can't wait to see pictures of that treasure.
