My Actifit Report Card: August 3 2023.....Throwback Thursday ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone ๐,
Happy Thursday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report ๐. We are fast approaching the holiday season๐น. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away ๐จ.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking ๐ฃ and jogging around the neighbourhood ๐ฒ. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze ๐. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the shopping centre for some food. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going๐น, otherwise a nice day.
On the continent, it was independence day in Niger, pro coup protesters held a rally against foreign interference in their country๐. The coup leaders have been under intense pressure to free the deposed president and restore him to power. Meanwhile ECOWAS delegates who arrived yesterday are still negotiating with coup leaders.
Globally, the US trending as former president Donald Trump has appeared at a Washington court. He is indicted on four charges linked to alleged attempt to overturn 2020 election result. So he has cases in New York, Miami and now Washington๐.
Let's go to the middle east, Lebanon trending as Palestinian factions have continued violence in their refugee camp. Sounds of gunfire and rockets is being heard๐. Lebanon has warned that it's army may intervene if clashed continue.
Let's go back across the pond in Brazil where deforestation in the Amazon has fallen to its lowest level since 2017๐. Let's hope they keep it up๐ฏ.
