My Actifit Report Card: August 1 2024.......Throwback Thursday ๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ด๐คโโ ๐ผ๐ถ๐โจ๐
Hello everyone,
Happy Thursday ๐ and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the first day of August and I have been feeling upbeat the entire day๐ฏ. It's now time to wind down and share what's was trending including how my day went.
As always thank you for reading, buckle up and let's get things rolling, come on ๐จ.
So I began my day with a few stretches before heading out to the grocery. It was a beautiful sunny ๐ morning as I made my way around the neighborhood.
Quite a short walk, then I was back indoors taking care of the usual house chores.
I later settled down to some of the trending stories and also watched some of the Olympics action.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon on a trip to the city centre. It was sunny ๐ and a little cloudy โ๏ธ as I made my way.
I had wanted to finish off my day with the sunset ๐ walk but the rain ๐ง๏ธ began as soon as I was about to step out๐ฟ.
Instead of dealing with umbrellas and sideways raining, I decided to stay indoors, tomorrow I will definitely revenge๐น.
So now let's get into the trending stories.
In the UK, Southport trending as tension continued to grow over the stabbing of three little girls.
The judge took an unusual decision of naming the suspect, a 17 year old. This to quell rumours that the stabbing was carried out by a muslim immigrant๐.
There were violent protests in which a police car was torched a night back following public anger over those stabbings.
Speaking of protests, Nigeria trending as two people were killed at the start of ten days of nationwide protests to call for economic, judicial and political reforms. People are sick and tired of systems that don't work๐ฏ.
Systems however worked in Russia, US and Europe where a historic prison swap between Russia and the west took place.
Seven countries were involved and in total, about 26 prisoners were exchanged. President Biden thanked allies confessing that it had taken over a year to reach the deal๐.
Meanwhile, the middle east still heating up. Iran has vowed revenge on Israel as crowds gathered in Tehran for prayers of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh who was killed yesterday.
His body arrived in Qatar later for burial tomorrow.
Another funeral was held in Beirut for Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr. Hezbollah later fired over 60 projectiles into Israel๐.
Of course most of them were intercepted by the iron dome defence system.
Netanyahu now definitely on the brink of his dream to involve the US in an all out war with Iran๐.
However, US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken has called for regional de escalation of tension even as both Hezbollah and Iran vow to avenge the latest deaths.
In the Philippines, the race is on to siphon fuel from capsized oil tanker before an environmental catastrophe that would destroy the marine ecosystem. Best of luck to those involved๐ฏ.
Finally, in crazy weather, Kerala in India trending as landslides have killed over 170 people. Rescue efforts ongoing but with more rain ๐ง๏ธ forecasted the situation looks dire. I am sure everything will be alright. All's well that ends well ๐ฏ.
So that's it from me today, see you again tomorrow on an amazing high five Friday. Cheersโค๏ธ. Hakuna Matata ๐ป๐ฏ.
