You would be correct yes! So select stores In Cape Town have given up their halal status in areas where there are few or no Muslim population to try and win over more customers since sales have been flat over their last 6 years in the country
Ahh Ok......the big question in the UK is why non-Muslims don't get the choice to eat Halal or not. I know many that are disgusted by Muslim slaughter and would prefer not to eat animals killed this way but unlike Muslims, don't have a choice.
In general, I've always said that food labelling needs to be changed and provide people with more information so they can make informed decisions about what they support and put in their bodies. We've set up an opage system when it comes to our food and people are happier to shop only on price and would sooner poison themselves then find out what's really going on.
