You split those by hand?? Wow! My husband uses a wood splitting machine and we get a lot done in a short amount of time. It makes me really appreciate that we don't have to do things by hand like they did back then. I imagine that took a long time!

    The cutting took about 2.5 hours over a couple shifts and the splitting took about an hour and a half.

    I have been dreaming of a splitter but have not been able to drop the $500+ on one. At least this keeps me in shape somewhat.
