I geography we were taught that rainy season starts March/April and ends September/October.
It used to be that way when I was a kid but these days the rain falls a few times in January and this confuses farmers. We also experience rainfall in December.
These days when any season comes it is brutal. We experienced harmattan in March this year, can you imagine.
I think before the modernization and urban development my part of the world is known as the rain forest. I think we still are. Lol. The Equatorial region and middle belt region of the world has the highest amount of rainfall.

Thanks for answering my question. It seems like rainy season is longer than non rainy season.

That would explain why there is flooding from the heavy rains.
