Really appreciating this thoughtful action. Not ure that confronting people while they shop is terribly useful, but maybe a series of really non-judgy, informative social media posts NEXT year in October-November might be more constructive. LOVE the idea behind it. I think the most important part is to give alternatives. For example, I learned (after @ecotrain's QOTW about air travel) that budget air travel with almost no luggage is a far less damaging way to fly. Telling people to stay home is hard to swallow for many, but showing them simpler ways and easy alternatives matters.

The huge number of vegetarian and vegan christmas food posts have been great. Maybe make an ebook of the "best of the best" ideas for next year? You can do that from home without needing childcare. Says this solo mom who totally gets it. :)
