Achievement 3 by @divia Task : Content Etiquette
Hello steemians,
I'm excited and ready to go. So far, so nice in my third achievement; I've been enjoying myself since joining Steemit. I've had many opportunities to learn new things that I wasn't previously aware of.
After reading @cryptokannon's post on material etiquette, I was able to gain a better understanding.
I also read an article titled complete steemit etiquette guide(Revision 2.0) written by @thecryptofiend, which was recommended by @cryptokannon. Thank you so much for both articles; I learned a lot.
My third achievement post discusses material etiquette. And in this article, I'll explain what plagiarism is and how to prevent it.
First WHAT IS ETIQUETTE?

> “To steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one’s own: to use (another’s production) without crediting the source”
Plagiarism is often mistaken for stealing someone else's vocabulary, but it often refers to stealing someone else's ideas. To put it another way, even though you paraphrase a letter, the concept must be cited.
The term "without crediting the source" means that it's fine to use other people's words and concepts, but you must reference them to avoid plagiarism.
So, just like every organisation has its own set of rules and guidelines, steemit has its own set of rules, one of which is NO PLAGIARISM!
How to Stay Away From Plagiarism
Simply take these two steps to prevent plagiarism:
Someone else's words or thoughts are quoted, paraphrased, or summarised.
Include a citation in the text and in the reference list to acknowledge the original source.
What facts must be referenced?
It is not necessary to cite any of the knowledge you use. A certain amount of information is assumed to be common knowledge. It is common knowledge.
