Achain is a public blockchain platform enabling developers of all levels of experience to issue tokens, smart contracts, create applications and blockchain systems. Achain is committed to building a global blockchain network that facilitates information exchange and value transaction.

Achain was originally developed by the Singapore-based nonprofit organization, Achain Foundation, which is co-constructed and co-maintained by its fan communities around the world. At its early stage of development in 2015, Achain proposed its blueprints of technological innovations, including modular design and smart sandbox, which cultivates a more stable and secure network for decentralized applications on its platform.

As the blockchain technology made further advancement, Achain, in 2017, proposed its three-phase development plan of "Smart Contract Network", "Fork Network", and "Interconnected Network". Achain led the in-depth research and development of Sub-chain, BaaS, Event-Driven Mechanism and Safety Isolation.

2 What kind of consensus agreement is Achain using? Is ACT mineable?
Achain uses DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) consensus mechanism, which occupies less resource and then creates a Result-delegated Proof of Stake (hereinafter referred to as RDPoS) consensus mechanism. Under the same security situation, RDPoS provides better transaction performance of the entire network as well as other parameters of the network as a whole. Theoretically it has reached or even exceeded 1,000TPS (Transaction Per Second). Based on DPoS mechanism, ACT is not mineable.

The RDPoS is Achain’s unique consensus mechanism which inherits all the advantages of DPoS. Not only unnecessarily consuming redundant computing power to get a new block, but also the execution results of contract are able to be verified by agent node or all nodes alternatively, depending on the state of networks. RDPoS enhances the network transaction capability better than DPoS. Specially in that case of long-time execution or high-usage of storage, all nodes, not just the agent node take part in the verification.
The delegates are voted by the candidates who hold ACTs, the voting rights can be set up in Achain Wallet under the developer environment. Each delegate will be rewarded with 5 ACTs after creating a new block.

Each node can set up its own support account.

The number of votes calculated is based on the amount of transfer. Larger the amount, higher the number of tickets. Currently, if there's one vote or more, that is, one node supports 5 agents, and 5 agents own the share after 100 ACT votes have been transferred, thus increasing the share of 100 ACT.

For the same piece of asset when the next transfer happens, the last transfer of the voting will be empty and the latest transfer of the voting is effective. The agent seems to be adding a little bit of ticket to himself, but it's very small.

How does Achain achieve 1,000 TPS?
The RDPoS consensus mechanism provides way better transaction performance of the network compare to the others. In addition to that, Achain further increases the network speed by increasing block capacity, reducing interval of block generation and optimizing code for higher efficiency.

What kind of programing language does Achain support？
Achain provides a tool called IDE for anyone to release smart contract on Achain, which can be found in Achain Wallet application. At present, it only supports Lua programming language, and we plan to add more languages like Java, Python, Go, etc. Java will be available in 2018.

What is Achain's development plan?
We had released the three-phase development plan of Singularity - "Smart Contract Network", Galaxy - "Fork Network", and Cosmos - "Interconnected Network".

The first stage is to enhance the Achain network's security and stability. Smart contracts, digital assets, and sandbox simulations are made available through the methodology of modular design. Sandbox can automatically test and monitor the environment where the newly created smart contracts operate. Thereby they ensure that those contracts run stable and safely within the Achain network.

Achain is now at Galaxy stage where it splits into multiple sub-chains to meet the need for different applications in the reality, including insurance, e-documentation, cryptocurrency, record investigation, credit rating, and much more can be fulfilled by sub-chains within an interconnected, low-cost, user-friendly, and customized blockchain network.

What's the reason behind the creation of this ABTC fork

There’s a competition of BTC forking. As we have the technology on blockchain and we have a strong technical team, therefore we hope to compete with others in technology for blockchain forking.
Forking is a certain demand of many users. Before we forked ABTC, there’s a concept of forking. ABTC forking is one of our technical trials.
ABTC combines the best of Bitcoin and Achain. It’s one of the greatest technical innovations for Achain.

In 2018, Achain plans to explore various business applications with the help of Blockchain Technology. Increasing the block volume, we can achieve financial transactions by modifying the data structure and also create another for document storage
