Beautiful contrasting colors on the 1st pic. I enjoy macroscopic photos of the tiny nature all around us.

We call that little critter a "LadyBug" in OZ and there are many different designs on their hard shell covering their wings. I've also seen them in many ranges of colors from yellow, orange to red.

When we would find them as a kid we would say the poem
"Lady bug, Lady Bug,
Fly away home,
your house is on fire,
and your kids are alone"
and then softly blow air on them until they flew.
Now why we had such a tragic poem, where I originally learnt it and why we just didn't just admire the little fella I don't know... :O

Another fun moment is in the cartoon "A Bugs Life" by Disney 1998 there is a Lady Bug that gets proportioned in a bar and he turns and says "I'm a man..lady bug" LOL
