Korean Corner and Aceh Corner design in the Unsyiah library

in #aceh7 years ago (edited)

The @mapesa institution was officially invited by the head of library Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Banda Aceh, for a cooperation in designing a display inside the library building with the theme "Aceh Corner".

The meeting was chaired by @keuudeip as the advisory committee chairman @mapesa, I was present there and some other friends from @mapesa, and also @pedir-museum.

After a long discussion about the design and targets of Aceh Corner, suddenly the head of the library, questioned "If Korea corner exists, why Aceh corner is not there?".

In short, several cooperation agreements are generated among others are, Syiah Kuala University library will provide a place for @mapesa and @pedir-museum for a display to introduce Aceh intact to the young generation, especially college student.

The meeting took place casually at the mini cafe in the Syiah Kuala University library building, today 23 May 2017.

Ayi Yusri, secretary of @mapasa (standing) is explaining the planning and thinking related to the Aceh Corner plan to the library head and the @mapesa team attending the meeting.

The right side is @keuudeip and on its side @pedir-museum observes the place of Aceh Corner display plan. Secretary @mapesa is listening to the librarian's explanation while standing.

After the conversation, we were invited to tour by the head of the library to see a suitable place for Aceh Corner. The students are preoccupied with their own activities, discussing and reading books. Here are the photos of the atmosphere in the library and the view of the building from the outside.

Korea Corner

On the third floor, the head of the library shows the Korean Corner as he said in the talk. The angle is to introduce Korean culture to the people of Aceh, especially the college student.

The librarian said, "The curator responsible for serving guests in the Korean mini-gallery has returned to Korea, because the contract has been over."

I see, this Korean angle has been ignored, but the library of Syiah Kuala University still maintains the place with its goods. Hopefully in the future the cooperation relationship will be re-established.
