Jeungki
Jeungki is a traditional tool used to pounding paddy into rice, or pounding rice into flour and used to grind the spices.
In general, the main components are made of wood and meets the requirements of the basic workings of a simple technology tools. There are three main components which are jeungki, pestle and mortar.
Along with the times, these tools are began to be abandoned. Now, the people of Aceh prefer to use modern technology products. This tool becomes difficult to be discovered, but I believe in hinterland of Aceh villages can still be found.
I took photos jeungki engraved on display at the Aceh museum.
Traditional tool but still used till nowday
