Pestle and mortar - Traditional grinding tool

in #aceh8 years ago

My post on today's topic is "mortar", the same function blender in modern times (as a grinder spice in cooking), a pestle and mortar used since time immemorial in the stone age (prehistoric) but still entrenched today in various regions of the archipelago and one of them is used by the people of Aceh.

This mortar continues to be entrenched because its function very efficiently as kitchen utensils. compared to a modern grinder, the tool is able to produce smooth mill, while modern mill has not been able to do so. chili grind example, the tool is able menghalluskan chili without beans left. besides using a pestle and mortar spice grinder will produce taste better. therefore every kitchen in Aceh, both poor and rich, still provide this equipment as grinding media.

pestle and mortar is very simple, made of stone reservations and easy to carry anywhere, the price is very affordable. when in Aceh mortar is only at the official price of Rp. 40,000 or equivalent to USD 3.05

The use of mortar is very easy, you just need to clean the appliance before use. especially first used, there will be a grain of sand that needs to be cleaned first so as not to interfere with the digestive system. after the mortar is believed to have clean, put herbs that want to paste, for example, if you want to smooth out the chili or garlic. enter the items you want smoothed into a pestle and mortar, grind repeatedly until smooth.
