Boh Peudada: a wealth of mangrove forests

Mangrove is a plant plays an important role for the survival of ecosystems. In general, the role of mangroves as it is known-- among other things--is withholding abrasion caused by the sea waves, fastening nutrients, spawning areas for fishes, control the intrusion of sea, land development through sedimentation, and source timber. One of the flora, that is can be found in the mangrove forest is the fruit Peudada, which has the scientific name: Sonneratia caseolaris.

Something that is very important for me to find out is the ecology of this plant. Ie:

Peudada grow on the less salty mangrove forest, the soil deep mud, often along a small river with water flowing slowly and are affected by the tides. (source)

Why should I know that?

It was due to me and my friends have to work on a survey in land surface of the swamp, which centuries before now, was mainland of settlements, on the coast of Banda Aceh. Finding this plant, that means finding a former of water flow, may be a path or a small river in the area, and also with finding it, would provide that information in that place was deep mud.

And by the way, the fruit that is sour edible and made for rujak (roughly similar to salad, but with a special seasoning). Its tree wood can be made for boats or as firewood. Roots breath can also be used as a cork and float. At night, many animals that settle in Peudada, like moths, birds, fruit bats and fireflies. It is because of Its flowers swelled at night. Ripe fruit can float because the network that contains seeds. (source)
