Birds at intertidal zone

In my tour to a place on the northeast coast of Banda Aceh, I tried to observe some of the facets of life in the intertidal zone in that area. One of the things that I found there is a kind of bird that inhabit the mangrove forests there. I saw, that place was inhabited by birds which color of its fur glossy black and blood-red eyes. Internationally, the bird was called: Asian glossy starling, and it has the scientific name: Aplonis payanensis. In Aceh, called "Peureuling", and in Sumatra, it was known as the "Perling kembang", and some are calling it the "cucak keling".

The bird was like living in a place away from human intervention, at the lowland forests, including mangrove forests but sometimes, it is also frequently visited the open area near the forest, villages and towns. Usually, it was rest together and nested together in tree holes, palm canopy, and clumps of epiphytes clinging on branches of trees. Its food is fruits, insects, nectar, snails in the trees, spiders. It have a sound which loud and shrill. Sometimes, in the morning, Its sound can be heard from far away.
