"Peurakan" - Small traditional Acehnese house
Peurakan has its own meaning, if separated words of "peu" and "rakan", then the "peu" can be braided or interweave and "rakan" means a colleague or friend, and then "peurakan" can mean friendship or interweave friendship.
Acehnese people use the word "peurakan" to refer to a small traditional Acehnese house. As far as I know "Peurakan" is only used by the people of Aceh, on custom events, namely on the wedding day.
The wedding day in Aceh was conducted in two places, namely at home "dara baro" (the bride) and at home "lintoe baro" (bridegroom) on different days. The wedding day is done in the home of the bride called "Preh lintoe baro" (wait for the groom), the groom will be escorted by a group of people to a wedding ceremony in the bride's home. Events escort the groom is called "intat lintoe baro" (escort the groom).
And "peurakan" is only used when "intat lintoe baro". Its purpose is to insert the items that will be brought by the groom to the bride. The goods were put into the "peurakan" such as soft drinks, sugar, milk, tea, coffee, washing soap, detergent, snacks and others. Later the bride will distribute these goods to the public figures of his village as a sign of friendship from the groom.

As a engraver, I did not forget to give a little garnish with carvings typical of Aceh.
