Mount Burni Telong is a mountain located in Bener Meriah Regency and has become a hallmark of the District. Mount Burni Telong is an active volcano and erupted on December 7, 1924 causing great damage to the surrounding environment including agricultural land and settlements. Burni Telong which in Indonesian is defined as a burning mountain, located at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level. The mountain is only five kilometers from Redeolong, the capital of Bener Meriah Regency and Rembele Airport (RBL).
