Hi friend steemit wherever you are, you know what is aceh? If not, let's see my writing below okay ....? :)
Aceh is the name of a Nation that inhabits the northernmost tip of Sumatra island which lies between the Indian Ocean and the Malacca Strait.

Aceh is a name with various legends. Here are some myths about the Acehnese names that are summarized from various old notes and quotes from various sources.

  1. According to H. Muhammad Said (1972), since the first century AD, Aceh has become an international trade route. The Port of Aceh became one of the passengers' shelter. In fact, some of them later settled. The interaction of various tribes then made Aceh's face more diverse.

Muhammad Said quotes from Thomas Braddel's note that in the Greek period the Europeans got the Eastern spice from Alexandria's merchant, the largest Egyptian city on the Mediterranean coast at that time. However, the spices were not the original Alexandrian, but they were obtained from the Arabs of Saba.

The Saba Arabs transported the spices from Barygaza or from the coast of Malabar India and from other ports. Before being transported to their country, the spices are collected in the Port of Aceh.

  1. Raden Hoesein Djajadiningrat in his book The Sultanate of Aceh (Translation Teuku Hamid, 1982/1983) mentions that the news about Aceh before the 16th century AD and regarding the origins of the formation of the Kingdom of Aceh is very distorted and dispersed.

  2. HM. Zainuddin (1961) in his book Tarich Aceh and Nusantara, said that the Acehnese included in the family of Malay, namely; Mante (Bante), Lanun, Sakai Jakun, Semang (sea people), Senui and others, originating from Perak and Pahang lands in the land of the Malay Peninsula.

All these nations are closely related to the Phila nation of Babylonia and the Dravidians in the Indus and Ganges river valleys, India. The Mens in Aceh originally occupied Aceh Besar, especially in Kampung Seumileuk, also called Gampong Rumoh Dua Blah.

The location of the village is above Seulimum, between Jantho and Tangse. Seumileuk means vast plains. Mante Nation is a growing population of Aceh Lhee Sagoe (in Aceh Besar) which then moved to other places.

After 400 AD, people began to call "Aceh" as Rami or Ramni. People from China call it lan li, lanwu li, nam wu li, and poly nan whose real name according to the Aceh language is Lam Muri.

While the Malays call it Lam Bri (Lamiri). In Gerini's note, the name Lambri is a substitute of Rambri (Negeri Rama) located in Arakan (between Back India and Burma), which is a change from the title of Rama Bar or Rama Bari.

  1. Rouffaer, one of the authors of history, states al Ramni or al Rami is allegedly the wrong pronunciation of Ramana's words. After the arrival of the Portuguese they preferred to call Acehnese with Acehm.

  2. While the Arabs call it Asji. French authors name Aceh with Acehm, Acin, Acheh; The English call it Atcheen, Acheen, Achin. The Dutch called it Achem, Achim, Atchin, Atchein, Atjin, Atsjiem, Atsjeh, and Atjeh. The Acehnese themselves, at that time called it Atjeh.

  3. Information on the origins of the Acehnese name are many varieties. In other versions, the origins of the Acehnese name are mostly told in mythe, old stories, like fairy tales. Among other things, it is told that in ancient times, a Gujarat (India) ship sailed to Aceh and arrived at Tjidaih River (read: ceudaih which means beautiful, now called Krueng Aceh).

The crew (ABK) was then climbed ashore to Kampung Pande. However, on the way they suddenly rain and shelter under a tree. They praised the shade of the tree with the title, Aca, Aca, Aca, which means beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. According to Hoesein Djajadiningrat, the tree was named bak the aceh-aceh in Kampung Pande (formerly), Meunasah Kandang. From the word Aca is born the name of Aceh.

  1. In other versions is told about the trip of Buddha to Indo China and Malay archipelago. When the wise man reached the waters of Aceh, he saw a colorful light on a mountain. He also exclaimed "Acchera Vaata Bho" (read: Acaram Bata Bho, how beautiful). From that name was born the name of Aceh. What is meant by the light mountain is the white stone tip near Pasai.

  2. In another story mentioned, there are two brothers bathing in the river. The sister is pregnant. Suddenly drifted into a banana tree raft. Above it lay something motionless. The two girls then swam and picked it up. It turns out that the move is a baby. The older brother said to his sister "Give it to me because you have been pregnant and I have not."
