Tarek Pukat Darat is a fishing activity carried out by some of the Aceh Coastal Community using traditional fishing gear called Pukat Darat.
The trawl for trawls is carried out by spreading the trawl in a circle in the sea using a small boat about 500 meters from the shore, and both ends of the rope remain on the beach, therefore the trawl is pulled from the land not on a boat like many other fishermen do. in general, then the fishermen stood close together on the beach, while working together to pull the trawl that stuck into the sea simultaneously from both sides of the rope, and the existing fish were caught and pulled along with the trawl ashore.
The activities of Tarek Pukat Darat are still maintained by some of the Aceh Coastal Community, including the City of Banda Aceh. As the capital of the province with its growth and development, it turns out that on the coast of Banda Aceh City, precisely on the Gampoeng Coast of Java, there is still hope in maintaining culture.
Because for them Tarek Pukat Darat is not just looking for sustenance but also maintaining traditions. This activity is usually carried out three times a day, namely: Morning, afternoon and evening, depending on the weather and sea level.
