GREAT SECRET BEHIND THE CONNECTION OF THE SILATURRAHIM ROPE
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: : لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ وَلَكِنَّ الْوَاصِلَ اّلَّذِي إِذَا انْقَطَعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا
Rasulullah SAW said, "It is not referred to as washil (people who connect the relationship) if someone is doing good to people who visit him and do good to him, but the essential washil is the person who visits and does good to the person who breaks the relationship." ( HR Tirmidzi)
One day someone came to the Messenger of Allah, saying, "I have many relatives. I often come to visit them, but they never come to visit me. I understand and forgive him, but I feel they have wronged me. I always do good to them, but they reciprocate by doing bad things to me. Should I repay them according to what they have done to me? " Then the Messenger of Allāh answer replied, "Do not do that. If not, you will have bad character like them. Keep doing good, visit them, surely you will always be in the help of Allah SWT."
The Messenger of Allāh said, "Fear Allah SWT and connect the bond of friendship because that is something that is best for you in the world and in the hereafter."
"Connect the relationship even if you only give greetings, and often visit your relatives."
The three characteristics or morals possessed by heavenly experts and can only be found in noble-hearted people:
To repay kindness to those who do evil to him.
Forgive the person who wronged him.
Giving and helping those who have never done good to him.
The person who connects friendship for the remaining 3 days, then Allah will extend his age to 30 years, whereas the person who leaves silaturrahmi for the remaining 30 years, then Allah will reduce his age to 3 days. Some scholars explain opinions about what is meant by increasing age here, namely "The reward of sharing will be recorded in the book of charity continuously even though he has died so that his age is extended because of the rewards that continue to be recorded."
In another hadith the Prophet SAW also explained some of the virtues of connecting friendship and trying to protect him, including being extended his sustenance, extended his life, and gathered together in heaven later. The hadeeth sounds like this:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: : إِنَّ الرَّحْمَةَ لَاتَنْزِلُ عَلَي قَوْمٍ فِيهِمْ قَاطِعُ رَحْمٍ
The Messenger of Allāh mat said, "The mercy of Allah Almighty will not come down to a people in whom there are people who break ties (brotherly relations)." (HR Bukhari, Al-Adabul Mufrad)
A friend holds a saddle rope for the Messenger of Allāh W and said to the Messenger of Allāh W, "O Messenger of Allah, Tell me a practice that can bring me closer to heaven and keep me from the fire of hell." establish prayers, and often come to visit your relatives. "
Abdullah bin Abu Awra RA recalled, "One time on the night of Ashura we sat down with the Messenger of Allāh W. At that time the Messenger of Allāh da said," If there is someone who breaks the ties of friendship with his relatives, let him not sit with us and stay away from us.
Then one of the friends stood up from the assembly and left. Shortly thereafter, he returned, then the Messenger of Allah asked, "No one stands except you. What causes you to leave?"
The man replied, "O Messenger of Allah, when I heard your words, at that moment I rushed to see my aunt. She was offended at me. When she saw me, she said 'What made you come here? You are not like this. explaining about your words to him. Therefore, we forgive each other and ask forgiveness from Allah SWT. "
