Rape and sexual violence are understandably talks and topics many individuals find difficult and hard to talk about in our society presently today's.

The crime of Rape is seen as non-consensual penetration with a penis.

It becomes a sexual assault penetration when it is a Non-consensual penetration with something other than a penis.

Today in our society we dwell with some kinds of myth that seems false to me. One of it is,
“Only young, ‘attractive’ women and girls, who flirt and wear ‘revealing’ clothes, are raped.

But then I thought, what about the babies that are not up to age of one,that are been raped ?.
Does that mean they are attractive, flirt and wear attractive clothes ?

No !!!

The fact is People of all ages, appearances, classes, cultures, abilities , genders (boys/girls), sexualities ( straight,bi,trans,queer), races and religions, are raped.

Most times, while I don't criticize or see someone's sexuality as been possessed by an evil spirit like Africans would do (been QUEER ) is because, most times those individuals we see as a possessed and abnormal people, are victims of sexual assault that led them to become who they are before.

Some individuals (friends) had shared their agony of what they pass through that made them gay, lesbian, pervert (BDSM), e.t.c.

Rape is an act of violence and force control.
The perceived ‘ attractiveness ’ of a victim has very little to do with it.

There is no excuse/mitigation for sexual violence, and it is never the victim/survivor’s fault.

The sexual assaulters sometimes uses the wears of their victims as an excuse.

To me What someone was wearing when they were raped or how they behave is irrelevant to me.

We should all stand up against Rape.

I hope and pray for a better nigeria, were sexual assaulters are been seriously punished.
