Thanks for raising awareness, I am one of the girls who was targeted by bilal and although im not upset by it any longer I unfortunately let it bother me at the time.
It's difficult to cope with abuse. It should not only bother you, but bother everyone who sees something like that happen. Steemit is supposed to be a friendly and positive community, but the surge in spammers lately is ruining the experience. Either we sit idle and do nothing, or stand up and do something. I chose the latter.
Luckily people in #general came to my defense. I love being a part of the steemit community. I agree that spammers/trolls are trying to take away from the platform, this is a fantastic thing to be a part of. Glad to be here.
