RE: Grumpy Report 01/16/2018

in #abuse7 years ago

@Grumpycat makes no sense. They downvote people who use bots in the first hour of the post and then claim they are fighting the 6th day upvoters...all they will do is make bots more profitable for people brave enough to use them because everyone else is afraid of the grumpycat terrorist

Sort:

Can't be that hard to check when the post received the bot votes. But more money in it for grumpycat to just spam everything I guess...

You're probably right. It's hard to tell when a vote is made, but @grumpycat can tell how old a post is. If a post isn't even 2.5 days old, then it's safe to assume the bot didn't vote on the 6th day.

You're right again though. The point isn't to punish 6th day voting. The point is to hit the bots allowing it to happen. The thing is though the bots don't care because when @grumpycat downvotes content, the bot and the bot creator doesn't care at all. It's buyer beware. The bot will continue to prey on content creators only now there's also @grumpycat that also preys on them. Only ones suffering are content creators.

In the eyes of @grumpycat, the answer is simple.

Don't use any bots then.

But therein lies the problem. That also hurts content creators because only content that gets seen then is @grumpycat's useless resteems.

@grumpycat is trying to attack the voting bots through content creators. Only ones they end up hurting are content creators though. Voting bots prey on content creators and then @grumpycat preys on them again. @grumpycat is the @steem community committing seppuku in hopes of nicking an artery of a voting bot. In the end, the voting bots survive and the community is killing itself.
