Blacklisting is great but we have pending rewards on the table. Shouldn't they go back to the reward pool? We need to start operating under the WIN-WIN paradigm and that means we do not reward garbage. 🗑️
I don't want to be depressing, but I'm starting to think that proof-of-brain is in real trouble.
There are over 90 bidbots on steembottracker now. Collectively, their votes are worth about $4,900 per 2.4 hour round - I think this is equal to about 2000 SBD. So that's about $49,000 per day. Worse, it's 20,000 SBD per day. How much SBD is printed per day for the reward pool? I'm having trouble finding a current amount, but from what I've read it can't be much more than 46,000 SBD.
I've noted a real uptick in people using bidbots to boost payouts on all sorts of low-effort trash - especially comments.
There will be a point - I'm not sure when it will occur - when proof of brain will become proof of bid, because too much SP is bound up in bots, and too many bots are indiscriminate in what they vote for.
