Our Beginning
We had a cleaning day in mind in this place, but after meeting with the nuns who take care and maintain this place, they gave us a heartfelt request that we help them with food because they have several weeks without receiving the provisions that the state gives them and they are seen stretching as much as they can the little they have left, telling us that in the morning of this day they only fed a sanctified topocho to be able to keep for lunch.
So we decided to change the idea and support in the most appropriate way so we went out shopping and as we could buy 15 kg of banana taking into account the number of elderly people who live here and have this fruit that is highly recommended for everyone, given the comments we heard in the halls: they say that people make donations so and the elderly do not give them, we decided to distribute the snack of that day to be fully sure that everyone receives the fruit.

Nuestro Inicio
Teníamos en mente una jornada de limpieza en este lugar, pero tras reunirnos con las monjas que cuidan y mantienen este lugar nos dieron pidieron de corazón que las ayudáramos con alimentos ya que tienen varias semanas sin recibir las provisiones que les da el estado y se las ven estirando como pueden lo poco que les queda, relatándonos que en la mañana de este día solo dieron de comer un topocho sancochado para poder guardar para el almuerzo.
Por lo que decidimos cambiar la idea y apoyar de la manera más indicada por lo tanto salimos de compras y como se pudo compramos 15 kilos de cambur tomando en cuenta la cantidad de ancianos que hacen vida aquí y tengan esta fruta que para todos es muy recomendada, dado a los comentarios que escuchamos en los pasillos: dicen que personas hacen donativos así y a los ancianos no les dan, decidimos nosotros repartir la merienda de ese día para estar plenamente seguros de que todos reciban la fruta.
A nice gesture for these noble ladies
This way, from corridor to corridor and from room to room, we divided the afternoon snack and met again with Mrs. Elsa, who we already knew after bringing them previous donations made by the group with @jayjes. It was very nice that although it was 2 months ago she recognized us and showed us that in her many memories is the mark of the first visit.
It was a joy for us to know that we touched the heart of this beautiful lady.
When we met with a group that were gathered in a room of the place we gave them their snack and they told us with pity that that day they had not eaten more than a topocho (type of Venezuelan banana) and had not had any lunch yet, noticing that it was 3:30 in the afternoon, without knowing if these grandparents had really eaten, we asked the other ladies in the kitchen who confirmed that they had nothing to do but some topochos, so #abrazonacional decided to collaborate with them with 4 kilograms of corn flour and 2 kilograms of chopped chicken plus some condiments to prepare a stew and eat well, at least for two days because we know that with what we donated they will not be able to do as much as we would like, but we trusted that other people would come to help us in this magnificent place.
After locating what we could buy, we got down to work (we only chopped the condiments because we are a bit bad at making dough).
The chicken stew did have our hands included and we were confident that it was very good and they enjoyed it.
Un bonito gesto para estas nobles damas
Así de pasillo en pasillo y habitaciones fuimos repartiendo la merienda y nos reencontramos con la Sra. Elsa la cual ya conocíamos tras traerles anteriormente donaciones hechas por el grupo con @jayjes. Fue muy agradable que a pesar de que fue hace 2 meses ella nos reconociera y nos mostrara que en su gran cantidad de recuerdos esta la huella de la primera visita.
Para nosotros fue una alegría saber que llegamos al corazón de esta bella Sra.
Al reunirnos con un grupo que estaban reunidos en una sala del lugar les repartimos su merienda y nos dijeron con pena que ese día no habían comido más que un topocho (tipo de banana venezolana) y no habían almorzado nada aún, notando que eran las 3 y 30 de la tarde, sin saber si de verdad estos abuelos no habían comido indagamos con las otras Sras de la cocina las cuales efectivamente nos confirmaron que no tenían nada para hacer más que unos topochos por lo cual #abrazonacional decidió colaborarles con 4 kilogramos de harina de maíz y un 2 kilogramos de pollo picado mas unos condimentos para prepararles un guiso y comieran bien, al menos por dos día pues sabemos que con lo donado no podrán hacer tanto como nos gustaría, pero confiamos en que otras personas llegarían en ayuda a este magnífico lugar.
Tras ubicar lo que podíamos comprar nos pusimos manos a la obra (cabe destacar que solo picamos los condimentos ya que somos un poco malos haciendo masa).
El guiso de pollo si tubo nuestras manos incluidas y confiamos que nos quedó muy bueno y lo disfrutaron.
Here you have a small dog that was born in this same place, we take advantage of it to take out the fleas and ticks to fill their water and a little bit of food, although Moses David (our traveling dog) does not like the idea that we are with other dogs because he is very jealous as you can see in the next picture.
Even though we noticed that the bathrooms have very bad hygiene and that we used the budget for cleaning items in food we couldn't leave without at least leaving something to clean these areas and we left a few liters of disinfectant and chlorine to help them, since at the moment they only cleaned with water.
It is a great honor to work for the enhancement of this beautiful country by means of this work, thanks to our collaborators, such as the group #left footprint.
Aquí tienen un perrito pequeño que nació en este mismo lugar, aprovechamos para sacarles las pulguitas y garrapatas llenar su recipiente de agua y un poco de comida, aunque Moisés David (nuestro perro viajero) no le agrada la idea de que estemos con otros perritos ya que es muy celoso como pueden notarlo en la siguiente foto.
Aun notando que los baños tienen muy mala higiene y que el presupuesto para artículos de limpieza lo utilizamos en alimentos no nos podíamos ir sin al menos dejar algo para que aseen estas áreas y dejamos unos pocos litros de desinfectante y cloro para que se ayuden, ya que de momento solo aseaban con agua.
Un gran honor trabajar en pro de realzar este país tan bello por medio de estas labores gracias a los colaboradores como lo son el grupo #dejandohuella.
