Abosom Weekly Update #1

This is being reposted due to Medium moving the initial post behind a paywall. Abosom will be using steemit from now on for all important updates so as to support decentralised projects and avoid the inevitable censorship as this project gathers pace!

Welcome to the debut edition of the Abosom weekly update.

This update will be initially weekly, but will drop down to monthly as other mediums (video and audio) become more popular and the Abosom community grows.

These updates will focus on 4 main areas.

Core Development updates,

Non Core development updates,

Budget updates,

Asset news.

Core Development;

The network has been launched succesfully and is steaming ahead without any hiccups so far. The premine has been secured and is not being actively staked. You can view the source code here and download the latest wallets here.

Non Core Development;

We expect this area to be the most active area, we do not want to move the core technology too rapidly, but the ecosystem around the Abosom ecosystem needs to rapidly evolve.
To that end this week has seen the completion of the First official Abosom Explorer, created by the team at Merge Project.
Abosom has also completed the initial form to be listed on the Birake Network group of exchanges, which is inkeeping with the Abosom push towards decentralised solutions.
Birake exchanges may not have the highest volumes, but they do not engage in wash trading so at least we can research the volume with confidence and reliability. We are hoping to have this, our first exchange listing finalised within the next few weeks!
Finally Abosom has completely redeveloped it’s Website from the ground up, This work was done by Renowned Crypto website developer Meddz of Bitcointalk fame.
The development took a few weeks and we feel it captures the depth of the project and spirit of decentralisation very well.

Budget Update;

As we have not yet been listed on any exchanges, it is not possible to buy ABS anywhere, this means that nobody has the 5 ABS needed to put forward a proposal. We have started initial discussion to have a Budget website built which will rival that of The Dash Times and PIVX, you can view their sites here and here respectively.

Assets;

Of course as we have yet to distribute any budget funds from the masternode governance system, Abosom doesn't own any Assets to speak of.
We would however LOVE to hear your views on which assets we should purchase first with our new Abosom tokens.

Please share your ideas in our Discord channel, some ideas already floated have been to buy masternodes of PIVX and DASH and of course employ the buyback burn model for all of the rewards.
