Answer: Why are baby boxes spreading in largely pro-life states?

I think you know the answer to this question. High time preference women who make poor mate selections but are too far along to get mifepristone and misoprostol from one of the 37 non-ban states are making a rare wise decision to safely abandon a child they know they are incapable of raising. It sounds harsh, but the reality is their children would grow up in broken homes and if they aren’t picked up by CPS and put into foster care, which has its own horrific outcomes like substantially high rates of becoming a sex trafficking victim and homeless, they would be significantly more likely to grow up to be deadbeats and criminals from poor parenting. Pro-life states refuse to accept the reality that not everyone will be virtuous, in mate selection or parenting, and no amount of brow beating will change that. Freakonomics explained why a blanket ban is a terrible idea 20 years ago though I doubt the pro-life crowd bothered to read and consider that argument.
