Abandoned steam mill Tsvetkova

At the beginning of the last century, a large number of steam mills were built in the Volga region. They were built with high quality materials from good materials for centuries. The designs of the mills were very similar to each other, the buildings - from four to six floors, thick brick walls, concrete floors. One of these mills is located in the city of Syzran, and even is an architectural monument, despite its sad state.

The architectural ensemble called "Tsvetkov Roller Steam Mill" was built in 1910. It was a complex of three rectangular, adjacent to each other buildings of different heights, forming together a U-shaped composition. Now only the main four-story building and part of the two-story building have been preserved.

When the production of flour in these walls has ceased - is unknown. Maybe after the revolution, and possibly in the postwar years. But the next owner of the building was the Volna garment factory. It was located in the former mill until the mid-2000s, when the company contrived to sell the building to a private buyer. Despite the status of a monument of architecture, the new owner still managed to demolish several buildings.
