Abandoned helicopters
Not far from the village of Kinel Cherkassy there is an abandoned military unit previously numbered 62977. A military town, a machinery repair shop and an airfield.
The airport is located 85 km from Samara. There is about the 1940s. It has a concrete runway two kilometers long. Since 1960, it was the aviation training center DOSAAF, where pilots were trained on the aircraft L-29 and MiG-17. In the early 90's, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the center was closed. According to some information, during the existence of the UAC DOSAAF there passed training A.Marshal.
Since the beginning of 1993, Mi-26 and Mi-8 helicopters - the 793th of a separate transport-combat helicopter regiment were based at the airfield. At the end of 2009, the regiment was disbanded, helicopters were transferred to other airfields. But not all. There was also an attempt to form an air club on the Mi-2, but it did not last for six months.
Now there are four dismantled cars on the airfield. Board numbers from right to left: 58, 55, 52, 64.
58-yellow. On storage since 2010.
55-yellow. It was planned to repair the RVZ in 2010. Since 2005 on storage.
52-yellow. Took part in the liquidation of the Chernobyl disaster, decommissioned in 2010.
64-yellow. Used to eliminate the Chernobyl accident. It was planned to repair the RVZ in 2010.
Old photographs of the helicopter under the number 64-yellow found on the network.
All cars were produced from 1985 to 1986 at the factory "Rosvertol".
Now all the equipment is in a ransacked state.
It is sad to see those wreckage
From afar they look like whales, which threw themselves ashore ...
