AAR EUIV: France #1
Bonjour !
C'est notre jeu en tant que champion du monde de football.
I have no idea if that is at least a tiny bit correct.
But here we are, France.
Football World champion.
And soon conqueror of nations
:)
We start on a light foot.
Royal weddings and an alliance.
But I forgot Scotland.. Not good.
I hope this was not to late. We will make another tiny mistake, that could lead to Scotlands destruction..
But let's continue our story and bring an end to the 100 year war. So we declare war on England.
See the mistake?
Scotland was already fighting a war on Ireland. Leaving its mainland without protection.
So they were peace out by England. To keep England in its place, I need to strengthen his bond with Scotland again.
At least our gain in this war was great. Half of Normandy, Calais and Labour.
The next war at 1457 will free all our territory from the English oppressors
And without a break or pause the French war machine is rolling.
This time against Aragon.
Meanwhile and out of my focus, the renaissance happened.
Must be so where in Italy, we will get there soon enough.
Savoy peace out, we didn't take any land, this time, as it was forced into the war by aragon and we have currently no issues with them. Yes, I should have some reasons to claim land. Blue blob is not one that counts.
So, Aragon. How about I take the 3 provinces up to Barcelona?
Yes? Well, I thought so.
Thank you.
-1 stability, because we have a royal marriage with Provence. But they are excommunicated, so it doesn't really count.
Provence is ours.
I will get more claims later, when finished with Normandy and Gascoigne.
Here we are.
The blue blob is forming.
Ah, what a change.
Switching games every day is fun. Because it is confusing.
I wanted to look for small counties to attack, or get my sons into good marriages. But this doesn't exists in that game:))
What are my plans?
Paint the World Europe the French neighbourhood blue.
Don't expect to much, I will try to blue a lot, but there is a limit.
Currently my weak navy.
This will be addressed later, once I have the Empire Francia secured:))
Thanks for watching and reading.
Have fun and play more strategy!
Woooooow it sounds like a nice strategy game! Plus you can learn a little bit about history playing that game am I correct? I think they should show this kind of game in school. Some schools are already doing that with Assassin's Creed made by UbiSoft which is also French :) .
Good work!
It is an extreme fun game, grand strategy.
Educational, I don't know. The longer you play the less historical accurate it gets. Here for example it is 1457 and the map never looked that way in real history:)
But it makes one curious.
Before starting the session, I just read the wiki article about the 100 year war.
So it brings interest and teaches you at least the map and names of provinces:)
Same goes for crusader Kings 2 (769 ad - 1453 ad), Europa universalis 4,this game (1444 - 1821), Victoria 2,1820-1936, and hearts of iron 4,1936 - 1948.
Assasins creed really?
Cannot imagine to be anything educational inside their, but eh, what do I know.
I see I see, thank you very much for all of those details and yeah it really seems like there are so many things that can be done in this game :) !
Yes Assassin's Creed. Here are some links below:
