Hey Steemians!

TV series of eight episodes with a Dark Fantasy setting that looks like the London of 1800 but with the language of our groups.

The hub will be political intrigues and a very particular struggle between social classes: humans are no longer worried about making war each other due to their skin color but have found a common enemy represented by fairies called Pax, which after being literally hunted from their lands, the few remaining are seen forced to live in the city suburbs to do the oldest work in the world, along with them are other creatures quite marginalized by society forced to act as servants to men, Puck, like human but with goat legs, hooves and horns on the head. Other creatures are present but in clear minority compared to the two previously described.

The story tell us about a policeman, played by Orlando Bloom, and his relationship with a fairy who during the first scene of the series manages to escape from the hunt of some armed men with a sort of werewolves in a wood, with a dense network between the trees to prevent the unfortunate pax from taking flight.

The plot deepens every episode to reveal some secrets that the characters carry with them until they reach the reaction of the nobility when a creature manages to rise up to their social level, we will see little goblins entertain the street audience, humans turn into bloodthirsty creatures, unexpected love plots and abnormal cruelty to some creatures.

The series is very raw, certainly not suitable for a sensitive audience, if you have the Lord of the Rings in your mind you will not find the same dose of bleeding heart, this series looks more like a mix between a story by Charles Dickens that meets Tolkien.

Gloomy setting and attention to detail, high-level actors for an Amazon production that manages to surprise with the high level proposed, the American company is making space in a field where for now the competition isn't really high but soon others it will come, Disney and Apple are ready to take over the market and we'll see if they can keep up with the current leading platforms in the sector or if in the end only one will remain.

Serie televisiva composta da otto episodi con un'ambientazione Dark Fantasy che strizza l'occhio alla Londra del 1800 ma con il linguaggio dei gironi nostri.

A farla da padroni saranno intrighi politici ed una lotta tra classi sociali molto particolare: gli umani non sono più preoccupati a farsi la guerra tra loro per il colore della pelle ma hanno trovato un nemico comune rappresentato dalle fate chiamate pax, le quali dopo essere state cacciate letteralmente dalle proprie terre, le poche rimaste sono si vedono costrette a vivere nei sobborghi della città a sbrigare il lavoro più antico del mondo, assieme a loro si trovano altre creature abbastanza emarginate dalla società costrette a fare da servi agli uomini, i puck, dalle sembianze umane ma con gambe caprine, zoccoli e corna in testa. Sono presenti altre creature ma in netta minoranza rispetto alle due precedentemente descritte.

La storia é incentrata su un poliziotto, interpretato da Orlando Bloom, e la sua relazione con una fata che durante la prima scene della serie riesce a scappare alla battuta di caccia di alcuni uomini armati con a seguito una sorta di lupi mannari in un bosco, con tanto di fitta rete tra gli alberi per evitare che le malcapitate pax riescano a spiccare il volo.

La trama si infittisce di puntata in puntata fino a svelare alcuni segreti che i personaggi si portano dietro fino ad arrivare alla reazione della nobiltà quando una creatura riuscirà ad elevarsi fino al loro livello sociale, vedremo piccoli folletti intrattenere il pubblico di strada, umani trasformarsi in creature assetate di sangue, intrecci amorosi inaspettati e crudeltà abnormi nei confronti di alcune creature.

La serie è molto cruda, non sicuramente adatta ad un pubblico sensibile, se per fantasy avete in mente il Signore degli Anelli non troverete la stessa dose di buonismo, questa serie assomiglia più ad un mix tra un racconto di Charles Dickens che incontra Tolkien.

Ambientazione cupa e set curato in ogni minimo dettaglio, attori di alto livello per una produzione Amazon che riesce a sorprendere per l'alto livello proposto, l'azienda americana si sta facendo spazio in un campo dove per ora c'é poca concorrenza ma presto ne arriverà dell'altra, Disney ed Apple sono pronte a subentrare nel mercato e vedremo se riusciranno a tenere il passo delle attuali piattaforme leader del settore o se alla fine ne rimarrà soltanto una.
