Hallo Steemians! How are all doing today?
Back again with me @zulman with another review of old games that was release for MS-DOS platform and before the year of 2000. This game in particular that I am going to review was released in 1993.
The reason that I am reviewing these all old game is that I want to experience what the game is like. I do not play a lot of game when I was a kids. So, with this review, I want to experience those old games now.
As usual, at the end of the article, I will give you all the information about how to play the video game that I am reviewing. Also, i will tell you how to install the game on your current PC or Mac or or if you do not wish the difficulties of installing the game, I will also give you information where you can play the game online. There are many website that provide so many old MS-DOS game.

Alright, let's begin the review of the game.
The video game Sky Roads is a video game that belong to the genre of Platformer video game. This video game was developed by Bluemoon company. This video game was considered a polished-up version of Kosmonaut video game. The video game was developed in there months. It is quite a short time in term of a game development. The video game was released as a shareware in 1993 and released internationally.
Sky Road was a video game that could be said as a stepping stone video game for Bluemoon history. Beacuse of this game, the majority of game that was developed by Bluemoons was able to built the international connection thank to this video game, Sky Roads. This video game also have some of the best soundtrack for a game, if you check out their official website, they make the soundtrack is available for download. There is no much other history information about this video game.
This video game now has been made available for download by Bluemoon for both demo and full version. And the game has been made a shareware video game.

Sky Road Gameplay.
In term of the gameplay, this video game has a very easy gameplay. The player only need to make sure that the vehicle that the player control does not go out of the road. When playing the game, the player need to jump in order to avoid some of obstacle, this obstacle could be a hole or even the road was split. There is also a tunnel in the road, so, the player sometime could just go through the tunnel or Jump to run above the tunnel.
The road in the game have a special properties, the properties is indicates by the color of the road. So, a certain color might give difficulties to the player. Here is a complete information about this road properties.
- Dark Gray: In this road, the ship can't steer left or right.
- Dark Green: In this road, the ship will decelerates quickly.
- Light Green: The opposite of Dark Green, the ship will accelerates quickly in this road.
- Light Red: In this road, the ship will explodes. However, It is safe to be on the very edge of a light red square.
- Blue: When riding in this road, the ship will refills oxygen and fuel.
In Sky roads, the spacebar and directional keys which are arrow keys, left, up, right, and down are used in order to control the ship. These keys is used in order to make the ship jump or move right or left, accelerates and decelerates. There will be an indicator at the bottom of the screen that indicates the ship speeds, oxygen level, and fuel level. On the left side of the screen, there is also a meter indicates the level progress of the game. There were also a gravity meter indicator. checkout the image below to see where this indicators are. Sky Road version
Because of the success that the Bluemoon got from Sky Roads, they made a special version of the game with the title "Syroads - XMAS-Special". In this version, the feature that this version has is exactly the same as the original version. However, the different is that this version has considerably harder levels. Beacuse of this level difficulties, this version was never as popular as the original version.

The video game has 10 roads that can be played on. Each of the 10 will have 3 roads available. These 10 roads are:

My opinion about Sky Road video games.
This video game is a very fun game to play. The game has a certain feature that make it a unique video game to play. The control to play the game is also not that difficult. Actually it has a very simple control. Just like another platformer genre video game, Sky Road is also an easy game that can be played when you want to spend your leisure time.

As always, I will also give the information about the game restriction. I would like to make a quick reminder that this video game does not fall into violent video game. So, this video game has no age restriction. Which mean, it could be play by all people including kids. The fact the the gameplay is also very easy will make some kids fall in love with this game.

- Unpack the skyroads.zip file that you downloaded before.
- Open DOSBox and mount to game folder (Check out the video at the bottom of the article to see how to do it)
- Navigate to the game folder that you have extracted.
- Execute SKYROADS.EXE to play the game.
