Scrumptious grilled chicken

One of my favourite Malaysian food.This menu is called 'Ayam Percik' in Malaysia it also can be called as grilled chicken . The ingredient for cooking this menu is we need many types of herbs . The chicken will be sealed overnight with the sediment we have prepared. This will increase the taste of the chicken .

Here is how,

INGREDIENTS

Sediament

  • Chicken(I choose chest )
  • 5 cloves shallot
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • ginger as big as a mother finger
  • a pinch of salt

Sauce

  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • lemongrass 4 sticks
  • big ginger thumb
  • big galangal thumb
  • 20 dried chillies (soak hot water first)
  • 1 cup water
  • 5 tbsp sugar spoonfuls (optional,I use Maggi Enough Taste for sweetness)
  • 2-3 'asam keping' (put it later)

METHOD

1.Preparing the sediament

First of all, mashed onion, garlic and ginger. Rough mashed of all these ingredients and put a little salt.

Tap or slice chicken so it can absorb the sediament. Condensate and apply the sediament at the chicken marinate for 1 hour or more. More longer you marinate, more good it tastes .

3.PREPARING SAUCE

Meanwhile, we can prepare the sauce. Take all ingredients and blend with blender. After blend, boil on your grill, pan, or cook pot.

Add 2-3 pieces of 'asam keping' and add it taste with sugar, salt, and seasoning.

4.COOK THE MARINATED CHICKEN

Next, take the marinated chicken and put it into the sause until half cooked.

5.MARINATE ONCE MORE

After the chicken is slightly sloppy / half cooked, remove it and marinate it once morewith this sauce for 1 hour or more.

In the meantime, the excess gravy on the pan we add with 1 cup of coconut milk. Make sure everything is warm and when the texture is quite thick, you can close the fire.

6.GRILL / FRY

Finally, cook the chicken in the way you like. Do not mind to bake in the oven, roast on fire, or cook on a flat pan as long as it is fully cooked.

7.READY TO SERVE !

When the chicken is fully cooked, serve with the sauce made earlier. Looks so appetizing!
