Kendall Jones - Female Huntress

I have been following Kendall Jones for years. She has been to some amazing places, and done some amazing hunts. She has also gotten a lot of public hate because of this, but she pushes on because it is what she loves!

Many would recognize her from her famous lion hunt in 2014 taken place in Africa. Hate pages started, death threats were made, people went insane.

Most non hunters do not understand conservation. I can see things from their side to a certain extent but in most cases with out conservation efforts we not only have almost lost certain species, some would have taken over the land. When that happens the land is destroyed, starvation sets in which leads to sickness and then death. But, death only comes after an extended time in pain. You see it all the time with coyotes for example. When too many are in an area or den and food becomes scarce they will take to cattle, sheep, even make their way into the city at times. Then mange sets in, where they are loosing large clumps of hair, gnawing off their tails and eventually burrowing into somewhere and dying.

Conservation does not just mean to hunt the animals, it means herd and population management. In Alberta, they opened land all over the province for hunters, fishers and hikers. They look after a large portion of the campgrounds in the province. They look after fish stocking programs as well as pheasent releases, adding homes for grouse and various water dwelling birds. They have even opened up sanctuaries where there is no public access. Land that is preserved for populations of birds, ducks and geese. Deer, elk and moose. The list goes on.

They also have introduced wolves and cougars into areas of the province to help naturally take care of herd management.

So for being a young female celebrity huntress, does she deserve all the hate? She hunts for enjoyment at times yes, but she eats what she hunts. When on an African Safari, some of her hunts provided food for the village's that sheltered her during her stay.

She has time and time again, proven that she is a good person with various charities and fundraisers. There are a lot worse things a person can do than hunt and enjoy the meal afterwards....
