My alma mater - Chernivtsi State University (en / ua)
Chernivtsi is a small, original, very cozy city in the center of Bukovina. Any mention of it always makes my heart beat faster because it is a city of my studentship. And I was lucky to study at the university, the main building of which is without a doubt the city's business card.
On the territory of the residence you can get accompanied by a tour guide. Excursions are held every hour. And although they are less interesting and meaningful every time, I still love to go here once in a few years. So today, I'll take a short excursion for you.
Чернівці - невелике, самобутнє, дуже затишне місто в центрі Буковини. Згадка про нього завжди прискорює моє серцебиття, адже це місто мого студенстства. І вчитись мені пощастило в університеті, головний корпус якого без сумніву є візитною карткою міста.
На територію резиденції можна потрапити в супроводі екскурсовода. Екскурсії проходять кожну годину. І хоч кожного разу вони все менш цікаві та змістовні, я все одно люблю сюди навідуватись раз у кілька років. Тож сьогодні я проведу для Вас невелику екскурсію.
Previously, it was the residence of Metropolitan Bukovina and Dalmatia. In many respects, it is thanks to the bishop Eugene Hackman originating from the poor family. Huckman was educated at the University of Vienna. For the diligent studying the future Metropolitan noticed by the emperor Franz I, and he offered him to teach Romanian to the crown prince Ferdinand. It is not surprising that later Emperor Ferdinand supported the endeavors of his former teacher, who was appointed Bishop of Bukovina in 1835.
The young Czech architect Jozef Glavka has been working on the project for about 5 years. This project was highly appreciated at the architectural exhibition in Paris. Construction began in 1864. Three plants were specially built for the construction of the residence: two produced bricks, the third - tiles. Also was opened a school for builders.
Раніше це була резиденція митрополитів Буковини і Далмації. Своїм існуванням багато в чому вона завдячує вихідцю з бідної родини єпископу Євгену Гакману, який домігся будівництва єпископської резиденції в Чернівцях. Гакман здобував освіту у Віденському університеті. За старанне навчання майбутнього митрополита відмітив цісар Франц І і запропонував йому викладати румунську мову престолонасліднику ерцгерцогу Фердінанду. Не дивно, що пізніше імператор Фердінанд підтримував починання свого колишнього вчителя, якого у 1835 році призначив єпископом Буковини.
Молодий чеський архітектор Йозеф Главка працював над проектом біля 5 років. Цей проект високо оцінили на архітектурній виставці в Парижі. Будівництво почалось у 1864. Спеціально для будівництва резиденції було відкрито три заводи: два виробляли цеглу, третій - черепицю. Також відкрили школу для будівничих.
Construction was very careful. Each brick was measured and checked for sound, and one master could put no more than 100 bricks a day. Paddle and chicken eggs were added to the vials with the solution, so that the masonry stood for longer.
A special decoration is a glazed tile, presented in the form of an ornament, which reproduces the motifs of Ukrainian embroidery, Easter eggs and Bukovynian carpets. How it shines in the sun!
Construction lasted for 18 years. Considering the temp and scope, it is no surprise. The residence consisted of three buildings: the left of the audience, the library and the bedroom of the Theological Faculty, a seminar church adjoining them, a metropolitan palace was in the middle, a dyakovo school on the right, a monastery, a museum and a candle making factory.
Будівництво було дуже ретельним. Кожну цеглину вимірювали та перевіряли на звук, а один майстер міг покласти не більше ніж 100 цеглин на день. У чани з розчином додавали падаль та курячі яйця, щоб кладка довше простояла.
Особливою прикрасою є глазурована черепиця, викладена у вигляді орнаменту, який відтворює мотиви української вишивки, писанок та буковинських килимів. Як вона сяє на сонці!
Будівництво затягнулось на 18 років. Враховуючи темпи та масштаб, це не дивно. Резиденція складалася з трьох будівель: ліворуч аудиторії, бібліотека та спальні теологічного факультету, до них прилягає семінарська церква, посередині — митрополичий палац, праворуч — дяківська школа, монастир, музей та фабрика з виготовлення свічок.
In March 1875, Franz Josef I signed the law on the foundation of the Chernivtsi University, and in October, a solemn opening took place. Chernivtsi received a magnificent gift: alma mater Francisco-Josefina. They say that the students drove in luxurious crews ... In their first year there were only 158. All the students were boys, because they were only studying theology, philosophy and law, and only in 1899 the first female students appeared at the university.
В березні 1875 року Франц Йосиф І підписав закон про заснування Чернівецького університету, а в жовтні відбулося урочисте відкриття. Чернівці отримали розкішний подарунок: alma mater Francisco-Josefina. Кажуть, що студенти заїжджали у розкішних екіпажах... У перший рік їх було всього 158. Всі студенти було хлопцями, бо ж вивчали лише теологію, філософію і право, і тільки у 1899 році в університеті з'явились перші дівчата-студентки.

I went to the university in a very difficult time. It was the collapse of the Soviet Union and the proclamation of Ukraine's independence. Everything that was considered stable and unchanged suddenly disappeared. I got the first scholarship, and the money turned on paper. Thank God, my study was free, but it was still very difficult for my parents. Mom lost her job. The grocery stores were almost empty. I can not imagine where and for what my parenth bought meal.
Я вступила до університету в дуже складний час. Це був розвал Союзу і проголошення незалежності України. Все, що вважалось стабільним і незмінним, раптом зникло. Я встигла отримати першу стипендію, і гроші перетвориличь на папірці. Дякувати Богу, моє навчання було безкоштовним, але батькам все одно було дуже нелегко. Мама втратила роботу. У продуктових магазинах було практично порожньо. Не уявляю, де і за що мої бітьки купували продукти.
But ... dazzling. blessed memories are still more. I remember how being a schoolgirl, for the first time in my life I have listened to organ music in a seminar church ** Three Saints **. For me. a child with musical education, it was a very strong impression.
In the yard of the university grew Taxus baccata, the evergreen wood that is poisonous. In ancient times, meat was stored in it, and it did not spoil for a certain time. But the water could thus be poisoned ...

Але ... теплих, щемливих спогадів все одно більше. Пам'ятаю, як ще школяркою у семінарській церкві **Трьох Святителів** я вперше в житті почула орган. Для мене. дитини з музичною освітою, це було дуже сильне враження.
У дворі університету ріс тис ягідний, деревина якого отруйна. У давнину у ньому зберігали м'ясо, і воно певний час не псувалось. А от воду таким чином можна було отруїти...
Трохи далі ростуть магнолії. Їх посадили не дуже давно.
The symmetry axis of the inner courtyard is a wide band covered with crushed stone. On its sides there grow trees and paths laid. The securities always watched carefully so nobody walked on crushed stone. The exception was made only once a year when graduates were awarded diplomas. Later, from the guide, I learned that this strip - a unique idea of the architect, which keeps the necessary microclimate.
Corridors and galleries of the central building impress the imagination of yesterday's schoolgirl no less than Hogwarts. I could not take my eyes off painted columns and ceilings. The audiences once had stove heating, and in some auditoriums the furnace was preserved. All these stoves are laid out with unique tiles - incredible beauty.
In one of these classrooms I wrote introductory exams ... In the Red Hall I had an exam in English. Its red beech floor, on the walls - red Chinese silk, caisson ceiling, a couple of huge antique mirrors. How could I concentrate here! ...
And in the Marble Hall the rector presented us with diplomas. The original hall burned down during the fire, the present one is a copy of it. But at that time I did not see anything more luxurious!
Віссю симетрії внутрішнього двору є широка смуга, засипана щебенем. Обабіч неї ростуть дерева та прокладені доріжки. Охорона завжди уважно слідкувала, щоб ніхто не ходив по щебеню. Виключення робилося лише раз на рік, коли випускникам вручали дипломи. Пізніше від екскурсовода я дізналась, що ця смуга - унікальна задумка архітектора, яка зберігає необхідний мікроклімат.
Коридори і галереї центрального корпусу вражають уяву вчорашнього школяра не менше, ніж Хогвардс. Від розписів колон та стелі я не могла відірвати очей. Аудиторії колись мали пічне опалення, і в деяких аудиторіях печі збереглися. Усі ці печі викладені унікальними плитками - неймовірна краса.
В одній з таких аудиторій я писала вступні екзамени... У Червоній залі я складала іспит з англійської мови. Її підлога з червоного бука, на стінах - червоних китайський шовк, кесонна різблена стеля, пара величезних старовинних дзеркал. Як тут можна було зосередитись!...
А у Мармуровій залі ректор вручав нам дипломи. Оригінальна зала згоріла під час пожежі, теперішня - її копія. Але на той час я не бачила нічого розкішнішого!
Behind the building there is a beautiful botanical garden, or a park. It is not large, but made with great love.
Позаду будівлі знаходиться прекрасний ботанічний сад, чи парк. Він невеликий, але зроблений з великою любов'ю.

Хоча я розумію, що палац людини з бідної сім'ї, буває трохи занадто )
А нам пощастило, що він був збудований, бо таке поєднання палацу і візерунків все ж дещо незвичне, а тому приваблює.
Але саме в такому місці можна відчути повагу до науки і необхідність відповідати цьому рівню :)
