Hello today, my dear friend! Ready to go for a ̶C̶a̶t̶u̶r̶d̶a̶y̶ Saturday walk?
I continue to play with visual effects. When I was preparing a draft of this post, I looked at the preview, and it turned out that the pictures placed one after the other without spaces and separators looks like a whole.
I met this guy on my recent walk in outskirt of Kyiv. It is a small and charming place, once was a resort with especially beautiful building, fascinating parks and lakes. In times of USSR, Communist Party's workers and chiefs of various stripes were resting here. Now some of houses stands empty and abandoned.
So, I was passing by one of those buildings, when I hear "meow". He stood on the other side of grid fence like inviting to come in. I opened small gates, he kept going along an abandoned garden toward the house. It was getting dust, and the last sun rays illuminated some spots or the yard and the garden. On a background of fallen leaves and branches and grass Cat was almost invisible. And here I met another one.
It was on the guard, sitting on a tree and carefully looking at unexpected visitors (there were me and my husband).
The old abandoned building was surely stunning when it had lodgers. I love this view very much.
And his windows, aren't they awesome?

If anyone were to ask me what I loved best about my trip to Russia I would have to say 'the windows'! I had never seen anything like them before I would love to see those balconies. Everything here is so utilitarian by comparison.
That's so true, those old architecture are stunning. My mom grew up in Siberia, and they live in such houses, I always loved them
The ones I saw and fell in love with were in the area north of Moscow around Sergiev Posad. I don't think I ever saw any quite this ornate!

How nice of the cat to invite you in! You got some beautiful shots there, both of the cats and of the building. I make windows and doors for a living. Today we have machines to do all the fancy work. These windows were all done by hand. I can just imagine the amount of work that went into it.

You're right, those windows were made by hands. Now smart machine can do all work, they are much more accurate and fast, but ... old windows like those got a part of a soul of a master...
