The View From Mt Riley
I spent a week in Haines, Alaska last summer. I was there to photograph the spectacular wedding of two of my dear, Burner friends.
We hiked to top of Mount Riley one day. It was a much longer, more challenging climb than we'd anticipated, but – WOW...was it ever worth it!

Whose wedding? I was born and bred in Haines, my parents still live there along with one of my older sisters and my younger brother. We will be up there for a few weeks this summer. Love the view from on top of Riley. I was not expecting to see this when I was looking through your feed! If you spent a week there I can pretty much guarantee that I know some of the people you met :) Did you eat at the Fireweed restaurant by any chance? That is my sister Amelia's restaurant (she owns it with her husband Adam who is the chef).

I believe she actually grew up in Juneau, but they had a cabin in Haines that they began building when Megan was only 4.
Here she is with her now husband Zac – my dear friend of more than 6 years. They both work for the Burning Man Organization.
