Writers Are You Stressed? - Here's A Crazy Solution
I woke up yesterday morning, trying to come up with a story to feature in a contest that has today midnight as the deadline.
I started typing. At a time, i began to criticise my work. I cleared it all. Tried to come up with something else, my heart became worried, then i became stressed. How can i come up with something good to meet up and win the competition? I procrastinated the story, went on to read some new feeds on steemit and gradually the day went by.
At some point, whenever I remembered that i haven't written that story, my heart skipped, then i became stressed again.
If you're facing something similar or have experienced something similar, then i'm proposing a solution for us all:
Freestyle it!
It is true that nothing can ever be perfect, so why trying to be perfect?
I picked up my phone, all that was running through my head was just "freestyle it". I started typing, the words kept coming, the image became clearer in my head. I had no worries at that moment, no anxiety. I was only free-styling.
I kept on saying to myself: Just freestyle it, if it turns out good, fine, if it doesn't, fine. But, whichever way we do the freestyle, its always going to be original. Our minds won't be worried if we're meeting up or not, the inspiration and the words will come from within us without stress, without fear, without worries.
So i say to you today:
