PROMOTING STEEMIT;MY FIRST MEETUP
Hello guy's, it's @zeuz again.
This is my first post on the "promoting steemit" series.
This started last week when I had an opportunity to a chat with @abasbonbon ,a newbies who had signup ,owns an account on the steemit platform,but had not contributed to the platform cause of her fear of steemit.com being a scam site,just like other site she had invested her time and money last month back.
It was obvious her misconceptions was because she had no one to explain to her what steemit.com is all about,how it works and how to use the site.
I had to arrange a meeting with her, so I can clear the misconception she had about steemit being a scam site , told her how the platform works and also to show her how to use the site, so she can start contributing to the community.
Finally, we met;
Just after exchanging pleasantries, I started with clearing the misconception about steemit. By telling her that;
steemit is totally a free site, it's not a ponzy scheme,no fee, no referrals
I made her understand that steemit is a rewarding social media platform where members are being rewarded for creating and curating quality post.
Just before I finished telling her what steemit is all about, I heard her saying "now I'm sure I want to be Part of steemit,how do I make a post?".
so I went into showing her how to post with
pictures on steemit, told her about the different categories one can write on, also told her about tags on steemit, etc....
I must say she's a quick learner, it took me a few days to do what she has done
Few days ago, she dropped her first post,the introductory post.
