My gratitude list - so much things to love

Human beings (me included) are often ungrateful for so many things in their lives. We strive for perfection and are constantly wanting faster, upgraded, more more more. This is not a bad thing. Our strive for perfection will always be present and serve as a push into a direction of better and easier lives. There is nothing wrong with wanting better, on the contrary, you should never be satisfied. Proud yes, satisfied no. You can always do and be more.

On that road to greatness, do not forget to show your appreciation for all the lovely things you have had a pleasure of experiencing in your life. There is so much to be grateful for. Every day is a blessing and every situation brings something to love.

There is this thing called gratitude challenge going on where you have to make a post every day about something you feel grateful for. I have been nominated for it by a couple of people now. @trucklife-family being the most recent one. Thank you for that. Since I have a lot of things I want to write about and lack the time to make several posts a day, forgive me for cheating. I will cheat on this challenge and instead of writing seven posts, do one with seven things I am grateful for. I hope you don't mind.

I have always been in love with green color. From nature to man-made things, everything looks better if it is green. I even have a saying that goes:

Translated to English it means : "All colors are beautiful, if they are green." Nature is magnificent and has so much to give us. Green is not only a color, it is a way of life. Fresh, eco-friendly, young and relaxing. Scientists have proven that green is the most relaxing color to look at because our eyes do not strain themselves so much when looking at that wavelength. Green is the female color, NOT PINK! Red is the male color, always was, while green is female. Some other things green is associated with are heart chakra (yes, green is the color of love, not red) and money. Both emotional and physical are green. How could you not love it?

Fun story... A couple of years ago, my hubby got home from work and found our apartment painted green, every wall. Sometimes I can be a handful but he loves that about me. Do I have to say that our furniture and decorations are green too? From my clothes to nail polish, everything is green.

Speaking of my hubby... I am so grateful life has brought us together. Every day is special because of him, every day is a joy.

The reason I love this man so much and why I am grateful for having him in my life is his support. No, support as a word does not have enough power behind it. Encouragement fits better, encouragement and stimulation. He is not only supporting me to be the best I can be, he is encouraging me and always pushing me forward to express myself and be the best I can be. With him, I feel free and like there is nothing that can stop me.

He would like to see someone or something try and stop me. It is always good to have some muscle behind you when you are crazy like me lol. 11 years together and going strong, the sky is the limit. I am his little warrior fairy princess and he is everything to me, everything.

I love to eat. Eat and sleep, and I appreciate and am very grateful for all those people who make that possible. I do cook but I do not consider myself an expert or a professional.

Mojitos and macarons... I am a little hedonistic soul and enjoy things that have a great taste. Mojitos and macarons are some of those things and I am very grateful to people who invented them. I am extremely happy when I get to taste great food and think cooks are underappreciated heroes.

Since macarons are my favorite dessert I am planning on trying to make them myself, people say it is complicated but I have to try. You will be notified of the results, do not worry. Fingers crossed I don't burn down my kitchen...

From smart houses to smart cars, I love it all. Technology is such a wonderful thing that is making our lives so much easier. I can not imagine my life without a computer, can you?

I am very grateful for everything technology is giving me. When I imagine I could have been born in times when there were no toilets and running water, no airplanes and phones, no medicine and no internet, I get the shivers. We are so blessed with being able to reach any information in a matter of seconds. You had to go to another part of the world if you wanted to learn something and even then you could be refused the information if you were a woman or just not from the right family. Knowledge is much easier to access nowadays thanks to technology and we often take it for granted.

I am not a techno freak but I do enjoy technology and admire houses that are self-sufficient and sustaining, cars that run on electricity, and phones with all the clever apps on them. Think about steemit for a second. We are all here because people wrote it. They wrote it in computer code and allowed us to make money on our writings and socialize with people all around the world. Magnificient!

I am grateful for my health and for my ability to use my body and mind how I please. I am grateful for all my senses and everything they are allowing me to experience.

I love my brain and everything I am able to do because of it. I can talk and walk, solve equations in my head, play chess, think and philosophize, paint and write, dance and run. I am grateful for my eyes and how they make me see all the beauty in this world. My hands can create so many things and my legs can carry me to great distances.

I was always a weirdo who enjoyed both science and art and excelled in both. Why wouldn't I when both are so wonderful? Why limit myself? I will solve puzzles and math problems in the morning and paint with my fingers while listening to music in the evening. Life is beautiful and our brains are amazing. Capable of so many things.

Happiness is very important to me. Again, my hedonistic personality is alive and kicking. Being happy is one of the most important things to me and everything I do is because it makes me happy.

I think we are all hedonistic beings, I just have the guts to admit it. Everything we do is because we want to do it. We even help others because it feels good to help. Life is supposed to be fun.

I am grateful for every person, place, thing, being or situation that makes me smile and be happy. I am grateful for love and happiness. I am even grateful for being grateful because that feels good too.

Imagination is a wonderful thing. From fantasy to science, it has given us more things than we can count. Just think about how many worlds were created and how many stories and poems were written. Such lovely worlds and such lovely words.

Creative minds are responsible for fairytales and creative minds are responsible for all great scientific discoveries. A lot of those things will serve as inspiration for generations to come. I am grateful for fantasy worlds and making some of those fantasies a reality. People can be pretty amazing with their creativity.

Fairytales are there to inspire us, modern-day fairy tales like those written by Lewis Carroll, J. R. R. Tolkien or George R. R. Martin serve the same purpose. They provide worlds for us to get lost in and learn something from. They spark our own imagination and bring great pleasure to our lives.
