Accompanying lady - A short story

Without meaning to, I had arranged two dates for the same night. Now there was a debate between attending them at shared times or canceling one, now it would really live up to its nickname of "night shebang". A cross between Catwoman and wonder woman that brought her more than one mess, but saved her from hardship and abuse, because she knew how to defend herself and everything she produced every night was for herself.

She was a charming woman with a feline appearance and a body so graceful that no one could imagine if they did not see her in action, that she could be the most effective companion (bodyguard) that anyone could hire if she could pay for her services and wanted to show off in the beautiful company of a lady.

She would definitely attend to the little Chinese woman who was asking for his attention a second time because she thought she would be more relaxed at night and would become a regular customer if he despised her now he would look for another service and it would not suit him.

She then called the other client to apologize, citing her mistake and pre-arranged commitment. The man was disappointed, but not bothered, recommended him with another lady and left a door open between them for another opportunity.

As he used to do with every contract, he showed up at the restaurant he used as a meeting point with his customers. A good dinner was included as part of the arrangement, after which they would go to where he was supposed to work.

Like her, there were other women on the team, but independent of each other. They helped and supported each other, but did not depend on a figure superior to them. Serious escorts, but undercover bodyguards. Sex was not part of their services, although more than once tried to seduce them.

Tonight, Shebang was particularly restless, there was something that did not make her feel at ease. The young Chinese woman seemed determined to conquer her. She flirted with her openly and on several occasions tried to hold his hand.

"You must keep your composure, Xiang, it is not good to get out of control like that," he said to the Chinese woman as he withdrew his hand.

The Chinese girl had drunk a little more than the "socially" accepted and was a little drunk, determined to take her to her grandfather's birthday to introduce her as his partner. Something Shebang did not count on, was a lack of seriousness that she did not share.

So she stood "politely" in annoyance, indicating to the Chinese girl that she would not lend herself to such a theatre.

"Sit down, Shebang," Xiang ordered, "you are mine tonight and you must serve me.

Shebang, visibly dismayed, rose like a spring from her chair.

"I am sorry, spoiled child, I am not yours or anyone else's. I provide you with a service of companionship and protection, nothing more. If you do not require that, there is simply no agreement and I will withdraw.

When Xiang observed such a demonstration of dignity and fierceness in Shebang's look and gestures and her boldness in defending her point, she could do no more than apologize and ask him to accompany her to her grandfather's party, but without any extra commitment, she would simply be her "Accompanying lady".

Somehow, with her presence, she was already giving a message about her sexuality and that was a point in favor of her cause.
