George Savvich Skovoroda. 1722-1794
Georgy Savvich Skovoroda, a writer, a thinker, a teacher, a man who, with his talent, introduced invaluable literary works into the literary history of the Russian Empire and Ukraine. A writer was born in the Poltava region in the village of Chernukhi in 1722. At the age of 12 he became a student of the Kiev-Mohyla Academy. Becoming an academy student at such an early age was considered an indicator of talent in the pursuit of science.
The bust of the great writer is in the hall of the metro station "University" in Kiev.
